Scratching in peace

Filed under: Random musing — Chinmayi @ 5:25 pm

Sometimes I think you have to admire (in a very repulsed, disgusted sort of way) men who have no inhibitions about scratching themselves in public. I mean, here you are standing next to this man (and running away is not an option), and he’s energically sticking his fingers through every orifice in his clothing…between buttons, sleeves, and other unmentionably gross areas, and scratching away like a dog with fleas. You turn beetroot red and are trying very hard to look like a lamp-post… but he’s going at it enthusiastically in the middle of a crowded street, happily oblivious to all the passers-by.

There has to be some philosophical motto in all this right…he who is truly at peace cares not who is staring at him scratching himself?

  1. Ive had to scratch in some un public places while in teh public. Its not something that I like doing, but sometimes and itch wont go away untill its itched.
How do women get away with not itching?
Do they wiat till they get to the nearest toilet and go crazy with the itching? Do all ladies toilets offer little scrathing arms for those hard to reach itches on the back?

I guess men itching themselves would be better then taking the “Bear Approach” and rubbing up and down the nearest vertical object, ie You!

  2. it’s the same with them ‘rearranging’ as well. if women went round adjusting their boobs all the time…well actally, men would like that i suppose

  3. @ The Boy: *shudder* you know…the bear approach just put a really positive spin on men-that-like-to-scratch-themselves.

@pinkjellybaby: Yes!!! What is with that? Is never-ever-getting-embarassed a side-effect of testosterone?

  4. i think some of them are just so pleased with their ‘crown jewels’ that they have to a) draw your attention to them and b)check that they haven’t fallen off
